Keeping Busy in the Village

Today, we (Susie and kids) enjoyed an amazing day out and about. It was over 70 degrees F here...just gorgeous. We walked up to the village green. Here are David and Lily, and the outside of our garden wall. You can see about half the length of the wall - there's a few yards behind me (the photographer) and some more wall that goes around the bend to meet the house. It's a biiiig yard.

Then we stopped at the village green, and looked at the door in the wall there. We are pretty sure there are some fairies living behind this door.

From there, it was off to the castle...it's a beautiful white stone square, built in 11-something originally. Here are some shots of us being impressed, and the castle, impressing us. All in all, a grand day out!

In England, and in the desert

Well, we are arrived in England and have been settling in for a month or so. David left yesterday for the desert, and will be gone over the holidays.

The house, the town, the school, the country...are all we hoped for and more! This is what our side yard (parking area) looks like in the fall.
